New in ProLace Version
6.5
 
The new block philosophy introduced with ProArt & ProLace 6 allows users already to work in the most efficient way. Together with the automatic Borer stitches ProLace 6 became the undisputed number one among the Schiffli Embroidery Design & Punching systems.
But this was no reason for AllCAD Technologies Ltd. to slow down development. The opposite is the case! Already one year after the release of Version 6 the new Version 6.5 becomes available. The focus of this version is on Underlay for Borer and Chemical Lace as well as on other automatic programs for Chemical Lace.
 
Underlay for Guipure and Embroidery on Fabric

 
Underlay stitches are generated with the GUNDER command. In previous software versions only standard BLATT objects were supported, but now you can generate Underlay also for other Blattstich types like DBLATT, BORPAD, DOT and STAR.

 
BORPAD - Underlay for Chemical Lace Petals

Standard Underlay as well as for Underlay for Guipure with and without division line can be created.


 

DBLATT - Underlay for Divided Blatt stitch

Standard Underlay as well as Underlay for Guipure can be created.


 

DOT, START - Underlay for Dots and Star dots

Standard Underlay for dots and star dots and guipure underlay for dots can be created.


 

Underlay for CBORER objects

 
With Version 6 powerful Borer automatic programs became available. This version completes the effects with automatic Underlay stitches.
 

Underlay for Circular, Rectangular, Elliptical and Drop shaped Borer
 
Underlay with one or two layers can be created. Also Overstitch can be defined for borer with fixed shape.














Underlay for Steffel and Round Steffel
 

Underlay Inside, Outside or on Both sides can be created. The underlay can also be inverted if necessary.














Underlay for Connected Holes

Underlay for all types of Connected Holes, constructed with the
CBORER function, can be created.









 

 

Automatic Stitches with new features

 
BORSTI – Borer stitch automatic optimized

The initial value of the distance between Borer stitches depends now on the selected Borer size.
The stitch distance always defines the movement in vertical or horizontal direction.
For all other directions the stitch distance will be calculated and optimized by the system.

 
CBORER – New Polygon shape and improved Drop


Improved Drop Stitch length

The previous Drop generated too long stitches at the point of the drop. This inner boundary had to be modified manually.
This problem has been fixed in the new program version. The borer stitches are now evenly long.

Regular polygons are also quite frequently used in borer designs.
They can now be constructed directly.
 

 
BLATT , GGEFLECT, CGEFLECT – Overstitch single sided


For Blattstiches as well as for the Curvy and Straight Geflect stitches single sided overstitch can be defined.
Also negative over stitching is now supported.

 
  DBLATT – Improved stitch distribution and Overstitch


The stitch distribution of divided Blattstich objects has been improved.
Additionally it’s now possible to stitch over the boundaries.

 

 
 BORPAD – Additional direction line at the end


In the previous versions the stitch direction of the stitches at the bottom of the effect was defined by the endpoints of the outline polyline. This could make it pretty difficult to achieve the desired result.
Now an additional Inclination Line can be added at the bottom of the effect what makes it easier to control the effect.

 
Parallel Geflect via option Effect Width

The PGEFLECT command of previous versions has been removed,
and the option Effect width has been added to the GGEFLECT stitch type. It has the advantage that now all options of the normal Geflect stitch becomes available also for parallel Geflect stitches.


Even the Exit point can now be defined.

 
 CGEFLECT – Support of direction curves with corners


In previous program versions only smooth direction curves without corners were allowed.
Now also direction curves with corners are supported.

New features for Guipure designs

 
Guipure design punching has always been a manual job. Version 6.5 added many features to assist designers and punchers in order to release them from this time consuming manual work.
 

WIGGLE – With powerful new features

Wiggle stitches were mainly used to design zigzag stitches of connectors in Guipure designs.
Now the
WIGGLE command allows you to do much more than just simple Zigzag stitches.

The Wiggle stitch type can also create the underlay and even a definable loop at the end of the guide line.
Wiggle stitches guide lines can now also be designed directly and don’t have to be designed with the LINE command before launching the Wiggle command.

GGEFLECT, CGEFLECT – With Wiggle and new modules


With Underlay and Wiggle back

Geflect stitch columns can be defined with an underlay in one direction and wiggle stitches on the way back.
The underlay stitch distance, wiggle width and wiggle stitch distances can be defined separately.









Regular stitch patterns with and without module can be moved

Sometimes the default position of the stitch pattern of a regular Geflect or a Geflect with Modules is not perfect.
The new Move option allows you to define a displacement in column direction.
See the red circles on the left.

With another new feature you can insert a module on the first layer and wiggle stitches on the way back



Modules for Brick fillings with different qualities have been added

Brick fillings were available only for Embroidery on Fabric. They could not be used for Chemical Lace. With version 6.5 also Brick modules for Chemical Laces have been added.
Apart from that the whole module filling feature has been optimized in order to produce good results.

GGEFLECT – Net Pattern Variants Triangle, Hexagon and Cracle


The new Net options Triangle, Hexagon and Cracle enable the designer to create with relatively small effort perfect nets for Guipure.

Other new features are also coming with this new release. Below you get a brief description of some of them.

  •  The offset and the stitch length of underlay can be defined for GGEFLECT with Shadow and for all objects which an Exit.
