EC Success at the ITMA 2003 with the new ProLace 2

The Embroidery Connection successfully participated in the 14th International Textile Machinery Show ITMA 2003. More than 120 000 visitors from 140 countries had come to Birmingham, United Kingdom, to visit the largest textile machinery show, which was held from 22nd to 29th of October 2003. There were 300% more pre-registered visitors than at the ITMA 1999 in Paris. 50% of visitors came from Europe while another 25% came from Asia. Many of the visitors were from the top management with the power to negotiate contracts at the show.

Mr. Günter Heinzle and Mr. Andy Medik, directors of the Embroidery Connection (EC) represented the EC group at the event. During the show, Günter demonstrated the new version 2 of the ProLace Embroidery Designing & Punching System. During the demonstrations the visitors could see how easy it is to manage and punch designs with the ProLace All-in-One system.

"The new version 2 includes e.g. curved step stitch fillings, a divided blattstitch and automatic underlayers and they make the system even more powerful and user-friendly. It is a big step forward from the old version, tailor-made by our customer’s feedback after they have worked on ProLace 1.5." Günter said. He also said confidently that the new version will increase the puncher’s output a lot.

The EC had demonstrations of their familiar products ProArt & ProLace. They provided leaflets and brochures of the full range of embroidery solutions to visitors, such as ProDrive, a digital servo drive for embroidery machines, the ProSim Card Simulator, the ProCut Punch Card Cutter, which is capable to punch cards from the most common digital formats and last but not least the famous ProDesign Embroidery Design Library, which provides more than 5,000 fascinating European designs packed in 50 books.

"We were located at S9-8E, Hall 9 of the NEC exhibition centre. We gave consultations, demonstrations & presentations of our products and also distributed brochures." Andy Medik said. Visitors from many countries such as Pakistani, Turkey, Germany and India visited our booth. Miss Marion Zuurveen and Mr. Michael Obilo of the famous EuroStitch magazine also visited the EC in the show.

"Many visitors were attracted by our demonstrations and product launches. We found the show was successful and helps to increase our business. We will participate also in the next ITMA in 2005." Andy said.

The organizers of the ITMA 2003 provided comprehensive and value added services including invitation letters for visitors and exhibitors to assist them to obtain visas to the United Kingdom. Newsletters and advertisements were sent to exhibitors and potential visitors over the last four years to emphasis the opportunities available in the show. Obviously, an excellent marketing job has been done before the show.

We thank all the visitors who visited our booth in Birmingham and we endeavor to provide the best quality products and services also in the future. We hope to see you in next ITMA show which will be held in Singapore in 2005.
