Successful Workshop Computer Aided Embroidery Design at the
Shih Chien University for Fashion Design and Merchandising in Kaohsiung, Taiwan
AllCAD Technologies Ltd. in co-operation with the Shih Chien University for Fashion Design and Merchandising in Kaohsiung, Taiwan organized a 2 week workshop for Computer Aided Embroidery Design for their new generation of Fashion Designers.
"Southern Taiwan and specially Tainan is one of the world centers of the Embroidery Industry. Taiwanese Embroidery is on a very high standard and companies know that a good design is the key to their success." Mr. Dieter Muller, CEO of AllCAD Technologies said.
"They normally recruit designers from one of the Fashion Schools in the area, but they are facing one problem. The designers are very good at garment design, but they know only little about the special aspects of embroidery design. This results frequently in designs, which cannot be produced or which have to be modified by the enlargers and punchers.
It was one objective of the workshop to tackle this problem, but also to introduce a new strategy of design development invented by AllCAD Technologies and based on the latest ProArt and ProView design tools." Mr. Muller added.
Mr. Muller was Lecturer at the workshop assisted by Ms. Mei Lin (left), Senior Fashion Designer and Professor at the University. 30 students participated and Mr. Muller was fascinated by their motivation and determination. They were keen to learn and bombarded Mr. Müller with countless questions.
After two weeks of hard work the students had to pass the final exam. Ms. Jenny Liu (left with Mr. Muller) achieved the highest grade closely followed by Ms. Mina Chen (middle) and Ms. Gloria Lee (right).
After the exam the students presented their work. Under those present were Mr. Joseph Chang and Mrs. Tecla Lin from Unitex Material Corp. Kaohsiung, who had the idea for this workshop, Mr. Hsu Chia Nan, Cia Nan Tainan, Mr. Hsih Ming Yeh, Shinq Huey Co., Ltd. Tainan,
Mr. Li-Teng Lin, Kainan Metals Industries Co., Ltd. Tainan and a delegation from Wear Shine Tainan.
But the undisputed star of the presentation was Mr. Hashimoto (in the middle), a Famous Embroidery Designer from Japan. He gave the students valuable advise for their future work and showed them his latest creations.
Who is interested in recruiting one of the Fashion Design Students can directly contact Ms. Mei Lin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Now I wish the students all the best for their future careers as Fashion Designers or maybe as Embroidery Designers, and I hope they could achieve some valuable knowledge for their professional work." Mr. Muller said at the end of his speech.
